Owning an aircraft provides freedom, flexibility, and convenience. But with this added freedom also comes more responsibility in the form of aircraft maintenance. At Gensis Flight College, we primarily help aspiring pilots obtain the training and credentials they need to fly independently and commercially, but another of our main offerings is aircraft maintenance.

More specifically, we are an approved installer for the UAvionix AV-30-C attitude indicator that is approved for use and installed on a wide variety of GA aircraft. For most traditional vacuum or electrically driven attitude indicators, an expensive overhaul is needed every two to four years to maintain the plane’s function and controls. But since the AV-30 has fewer moving parts, you can get away with performing less-frequent aircraft maintenance on this plane while also minimizing the need for expensive overhauls.

Original attitude indicators usually have a traditional gyro, but this is not the case for the AV-30-C. Instead, the AV-30-C’s indicator is fully self-contained and features dual-precision inertial and pressure sensors. This allows for a wide variety of pilot configurations to provide information not available on older attitude indicators. You can watch this short video to see the AV-30-C on a DA40 with the G1000 as the primary flight display.

If you want to upgrade your aircraft with the UAvionix AV-30-C attitude indicator as part of the aircraft maintenance process, we can help. Contact us today to learn more about this attitude indicator and to schedule a time to consult with us.
